About Fitter Genes
Fitter Genes was founded in 2010 by David Aliu & Lisa Nutman.
It is David And Lisa's goal to help young children maintain a healthy & active lifestyle through fun sports and activities whilst working alongside Schools, GP's, Hospitals, NHS, PCTs & Charities.
David Aliu - Professional Athlete
David became a professional athlete 12 years ago and has played in Europe and the USA. at the highest level. At 14 David was selected for a scholarship and moved to the USA, were he gained a Bachelor of Science degree studying cardiac rehabilitation, physical therapy and personal training.
David trained at the Notre Dame academy in the USA which was one of the best in the country as his team became the state champions of Virginia. He then moved to Division 1 University Morehead State where his team became the Ohio Valley Conference Champions.
Basketball gave David the opportunity to travel and play for top teams in his sport all over the world. He is currently signed to the Mersey Tigers, Liverpool were they won the league, trophy and the playoff finals 2011. David has represented England and Great Britain obtaining over 35 caps.
David is a shining example to young children and has an immense amount of experience working along-side children, coaching and running health programs in communities. David is passionate about inspiring children, giving them the chance to channel their energy into sports. He plans to support children in the most fun way as possible in order to give them a healthy life.
Lisa Nutman - Professional Dancer
Lisa qualified as a dance teacher in 2001 and currently works with children on a weekly basis teaching a range of different dance disciplines.
Lisa's professional career has taken her around the world dancing on cruise ships, working with Atomic Kitten and performing with groups such as Ultrabeat on their European tour. Lisa's dance ability gave her the chance to appear in numerous dance videos on MTV and The Box and worked as a Wigan War Babe cheerleader for the Wigan Warriors. Lisa appeared on stage in the West End and worked alongside stars such as Ken Dodd, Little and Large, Stan Boardman, Ricky Tomlinson, Kev Seed and Pete Price.
Lisa has also spent the last 8 years working as a freelance personal trainer and has an excellent reputation for training celebrities. She has endless qualifications in physical exercise, dance teaching and weight and nutrition management.
Lisa is a great role model to children and enjoys passing on her talent, knowledge, enthusiasm to children so they live an active and healthier lifestyle!
